A Guide to our House
House RulesWe do not allow smoking, outdoor fire pits, firearms, or pets in home or on property. Please understand that our homes are in an extremely dry climate that is prone to wildfires, so we have to be very careful.
Important Rule for Snowy SeasonFour wheel drive vehicles are now required during the snowy seasons, as the mountain roads can and often do ice over and are difficult to navigate without 4WD! Trust us on this.
AltitudeThe altitude in Victor is 9300 ft. This is a very high altitude and can result in altitude sickness if not addressed properly. Please drink lots of water—bring lip balm and lotion for skin due to dryness. We highly recommend that you allow yourself a day or two to rest before doing any hiking or other physical activities.
Cell ServiceCell phones will work in certain high areas of Victor and Cripple Creek, but there is usually no signal at the house. We do provide Starlink internet, so you can make Wi-Fi calls or use our home phones, if necessary.
NecessitiesWe provide you with a starter kit for basic necessities, such as toilet paper (6 rolls, 2~ in each bathroom), paper towels (2 rolls), and some laundry pods to wash clothes. Anything that you need in addition to these items will be your responsibility to bring.
